The Hall of Fame Tennis Championship is where the top ATP World Tour pros head just after Wimbledon as their first stop on the summer swing of pro tennis in the United States. The event is contested on the historic grass courts of the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport. These courts have hosted all the sport?s legends since 1880, and the event offers the only opportunity to see professional men?s tennis in the Northeast, prior to the U.S. Open.
Housed in the historic Newport Casino, the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum chronicles the entire history of the sport, dating from the 12th Century through today within its 18 galleries. It encompasses more than 20,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, momentous videos and popular memorabilia of tennis champions past and present. Its permanent collection alone contains more than 16,000 objects.
