As James Madison:
"In the monologue, Madison explains how the Bill of Rights came to be, including his initial reluctance to see the need for one.  Madison emphasizes that rights come in two categories: natural, unalienable rights endowed by our Creator (I make use of the Declaration of Independence found in the Pocket Constitutions that are given out before I show up) and civil rights granted by civil government, such as the right to vote.  I realize this may run counter to the standard conflation of "civil" rights with natural rights, but I think the distinction is important to make."
"The audience is drawn into the monologue by having an audience member hand Madison the results of recent polling showing that Americans know little about their Constitution and the Declaration.  Following the monologue, you are free to ask whatever questions they wish about Madison's life and experiences in government."

 About CLI:

"Mission: The Constitution Leadership Initiative is a non-partisan organization devoted to promoting a better understanding of the U.S. Constitution among the American people. We will pursue our mission through a series of initiatives:

Initiative 1: Conduct public seminars, symposia and debates on constitutional issues.

Initiative 2: Develop a network of advocates at state and local level who will keep a discussion of constitutional issues in the public view, through Letters to the Editor, newspaper and magazine articles, and other media.

Initiative 3: Encourage the formation of ?Constitution Clubs? in high schools, colleges, churches and communities around the USA. Provide courseware to these clubs to teach the design of the Constitution as composed by the Founders and ratified by the States, and which demonstrates how this original design has changed through amendment and Supreme Court decision since the document was ratified in 1788."
