LAURY GREENING
At the getting-along-there age of 40, Laury left the NYC rat race and took some introductory classes in woodworking and carpentry at the Heartwood School in the Berkshires.  The bug bit, firmly: she spent the next three years as an apprentice for Octagon Builders, an all-woman cooperative in Chatham, NY. It wasn't until 2013, however, that Laury carved out a small basement shop for herself in Brattleboro and really went down the woodworking rabbit hole.  Laury has sold her decorative boxes and vases at several regional craft shows.  She feeds her addiction to "making" by working at the Brattleboro Food Co-op.
