Somatic embodiment session involve hands-on techniques and guided movement that result in more vitality in the tissues, whole body integration, and changes in perspective. Sessions can address issues such as: * joint pain * stress * low back pain * headaches * prenatal and postpartum recovery; optimizing movement for sport activities; support for life transitions, mind-body-spirit-emotion integration.
Appointments are clothed, on a massage table and/or floor mat; located in New Paltz, NY.
Anneliese Mordhorst is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RMST) and Pilates Instructor on a mission to support the well-being of her clients. She has immersed herself in the fields of somatic movement and fitness since 2005. Her training includes Certified Somatic Body Practitioner, Pilates Instructor, TRX Trainer, Zero Balancing I and II, studies in Body-Mind Centering(TM) and Continuum Movement(TM).
By incorporating current information from multiple fields and methods, Anneliese?s clients benefit from the growing knowledge and research in movement and fitness. Her experience with personal transformation and relief from chronic pain are echoed in the positive life changes of her clients. Her mission is to create an environment of empowerment, where clients can have an embodied experience, enhance integration in the body, and live in their wholeness.
