Description

There is growing evidence that a host of chronic diseases so common in the general and Jewish communities are deeply connected to the foods that we eat. If you're wondering how to give yourself the best chance to avoid (and in some cases arrest and reverse) heart disease, cancer, diabetes, overweight/obesity, dementia, and more -- and help your kids do the same -- this package is for you.

Lianna Levine Reisner, Network Director of Plant Powered Metro New York and parent of children in Anafim and Garinim, will share foundational resources with you and your family to give you more power over your health outcomes and expose you to the nutritional evidence base that is supported by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. This package includes:
- 2 hours of discussion and/or research on health and nutrition topics of interest to you
- Either a kitchen/pantry detox OR a shopping tour with label-reading guidance (1 hour)
- Free access for up to two adults to one ticketed educational program during 2019 hosted by Plant Powered Metro New York, featuring an expert in the field of food-as-medicine (up to $40 total)
- $50 off registration for one adult to participate in the 21-Day Plant-Powered Jumpstart hosted by Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, beginning on Sunday, June 2nd (requires availability that morning, and on Sunday morning, June 23rd; optional components included in the program are cooking demos on Wednesdays, June 5th and 12th, webinars on Mondays, June 10 and 17, and a closing program on June 26th; mentorship also provided)
