Gift certificate for 1 hour lesson with expert tennis instructor John Sevely. John has been instructing for over 30 years through the Cuesta Park Tennis Center in Mountain View and has experience working with players of all levels and ages. He grew up in Los Altos and played tennis for St. Francis High School, winning both the WCAL and CCS singles titles as a senior. Playing for Foothill College, he was the first player to win the California State Junior College singles title two years in a row. John attended U.C. Berkeley on a full tennis scholarship and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business. He was chosen to represent the United States in the World University Games in 1983 and, teamed with Jeff Arons, won a gold medal. He then competed on the men?s professional circuit before settling down at Cuesta Park Tennis Center in 1986 where he teaches full time.
