Description

Wine Guerrilla's 2012 Conte Vineyard Zinfandel hails from a tiny 2 acres in the Russian River Valley, a bit south of Healdsburg. The Conte Vineyard was planted in 1995 to support the creation of field blends.  These bottles are a blend of 85% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Carignane and Grenache creating a wine with great complexity and depth of flavor. It was awarded the Gold Medal at 2016 Finger Lakes Wine Competition. 300 cases were produced.

This wine is heady and very bold on the nose, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, baker?s chocolate, spice box, raisin, raspberry, licorice and toasted oak.

These powerful flavors mingle happily with robust foods like brisket, lamb shanks, pork ribs or anything barbecued.  So drink them now, when the days and the grill are hot!
