Tradition holds that any self-respecting Nordic homemaker would always have seven different types of cookies on hand to offer guests. We’d settle for a couple! But in the spirit of the north, seven it is. Veteran baker Kim Ode will guide four students through an all-day exploration of Nordic treats on the North House campus, guided in part by Swedish chef Magnus Nilsson’s “The Nordic Baking Book.” But we’ll also modernize the plate a bit with a few savory crackers to offer. Plus, learn how to make your own homemade golden syrup.
Dates for this class may be Friday, Nov. 1, 2019; Monday, Nov. 4, 2019; or Friday, June 5, 2020, or Monday, June 8, 2020. Deadline for choosing a date is Oct. 1, 2019.
