Take a magical Christmas excursion and ride behind the WORLD FAMOUS steam locomotive Pere Marquette 1225 (PM 1225) on December 21, 2019 at 10am. Built in 1941, this majestic locomotive is most famous for its role in the 2004 Warner Bros Christmas Classic, THE POLAR EXPRESS.
Passengers will board the train at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan and take a journey back in time to the Village of Ashley's Country Christmas in Ashley, Michigan.
The North Pole Express is a four hour magical experience that will create memories that will last a lifetime. The train ride will last approximately an hour each way, while the passengers get approximately two hours to participate in activities in Ashley.
In Ashley, included with your train ticket is: admission, entertainment (i.e. illusionist, magician, etc), horse drawn carriage rides, arts/crafts, Santa, glass blower demonstrations, chain saw carving, street performers, writing a letter to Santa, petting zoo, reindeer, and each year they add something new. Some of the things to do that will cost additional: Food (many options) & drinks (adult available at Gus's Eatery and Saloon), lots of shops, games, a few rides, building toys, & face painting to name a few.
