Description

Charles Reeves and Holly Cluse opened Penny Cluse Café in May of 1998. Named after Holly?s childhood dog, Penny, the café serves up breakfast and lunch every day, all day. Buttermilk biscuits with herb cream gravy, huevos rancheros, gingerbread pancakes, roast turkey reubens, tofu scram with peanut ginger sauce -- everything made from scratch.

16 years later...Charles and Holly wrangled a way to buy the building inches from Penny Cluse. They renovated the building creating a cozy new space to eat, drink and feel welcome. Charles' father had a favorite dog, a cairn terrier named Lucky. In loving memory of Ned, Lucky Next Door became the sister to Penny Cluse in September 2013.

The Penny Cluse menu covers a lot of territory.  Lucky is much the same. Burritos, Tacos and Nachos are Charles' go-to favorite foods to eat and to make. Homemade spelt-flour tortillas, fiery peppers, beans, and avocado are all part of Lucky. Tofu Soba Noodle Salad, sides of beet pickles or spicy cumbers add refreshing options. Amazing chocolate cake, gingersnaps, and macaroons make everyone happy.
