Bynum continues to receive national recognition for his work in implementing one the most comprehensive community policing programs in the country, opening the greatest park gift in American History and creating new programming such as A Better Way, New Tulsans Initiative and the Resilient Tulsa Strategy ? programs aimed to improve outcomes for residents.
In a career engrained in public service, Bynum has worked in the United States Senate for two Oklahoma Senators and served eight years as a Tulsa City Councilor prior to his election for mayor. As a native Tulsan, Bynum and his wife, Susan, are the proud parents of Robert and Annabel ? the sixth generation of Bynums to call Tulsa home
