Sit-on-top kayaks are the preferred boat here, and are perfect for all skill levels. Beginners will find the shallow waters near the beach very inviting, and you can even try a stand-up paddleboard if you feel adventurous!
Cruise out to the Boulder Islands for a leisurely hike, look for seashells on the beaches, and take a dip in the largest man-made lake in the United States. The waters are crystal clear and you can often spot fish swimming in the water beneath your boat.
Pack yourself a picnic lunch, and take a break on the Boulder Islands to eat, lay in the sun, or swim in the refreshing waters.
