Robert Paterson was Composer of The Year at Carnegie Hall from the Classical Recording Foundation and his works have been on the Grammy® nomination ballot for Best Contemporary Classical Album the past four seasons. The Book of Goddesses was named Top 10 favorite pieces of the year by NPRs Best Music of 2012. His works have been played by the Austin Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Albany Symphony, Vermont Symphony, and the American Composers Orchestra. Current engagements include a commission with the Utah Arts Festival, Opera Three Way with the Nashville Opera, AOP, AME and BAM, and The Whole Truth with Librettist Marck Campbell. An album of his choral works was recorded with Musica Sacra and Maestro Kent Tritle, released in 2015. Paterson resides in New York City with his wife, Victoria, and their son, Dylan.
