Fund-A-Need: Children's Day Cultural Visit Arts & Crafts Supplies
Bidding Supports:
JAPANESE CULTURAL & COMMUNITY CENTER OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
(SAN FRANCISCO, CA)
As an opportunity for the Center to preserve and cultivate interest in Japanese American culture and traditions, we offer school visits to San Francisco Elementary Schools as part of our celebration of Children?s Day (Kodomo no hi) and to other Bay Area schools during the week leading up the Children's Day Festival.
During the visit, children participate in craft activities, manju making and an educational tour of the Children's Day exhibit. Your contribution will allow children to make a craft activity to take home during their school visit. The craft will be a simple and fun reminder for children of the cultural tradition they learned during their school visit.
If you would like more information about the Children's Day school visits before placing a bid, please contact Lori Matoba at (415) 567-5505.
