Description
As part of the larger Children?s Day celebrations, the Children's Day Cultural School Visits Program held at the Center introduces over 900 public school students K-2 to the tradition of Children?s Day through hands-on activities and craft projects as well as a Hinamatsuri (Girl?s Day) doll tour. Due to increasing budget cuts, many schools no longer have access to cultural studies, including providing opportunities for students to learn outside of their classrooms. The week-long visits are a service provided by the Center staff and volunteers at no cost throughout San Francisco. Transportation is subsidized by distance and budget of each school on a case by case basis. Help sponsor one class to participate in this enriching cultural program!

The winning bidder may pick up the items at the Center during normal business hours, or arrange shipping via U.S. Mail at standard industry rates at the winning bidder?s expense. All items must be claimed within 1 month of notification. Unclaimed items may be placed back up for auction with no refund to the winning bidder.
