The idea behind this quilt was a challenge to use ONLY fabrics, threads and embellishments that we had on hand. We were NOT allowed to purchase anything new for the quilt. I thought that was the perfect idea of recycling and completed the quilt with fabrics I might otherwise not have used. In copying the arrows for the recycling symbol, I realized later that I made them backwards. The idea of recycling and using what we have, rather than throwing things away, is the bright idea.
