Enjoy a personalized tour of the exciting Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) with Joelle Tomb (mom to Julian in 5th grade and Gabby in 3rd)!
In addition to being an ICA tour guide, Joelle is also an artistic curator and a local real estate advisor. The tour will include admission to the highly sought after "Love is Calling" exhibit by Yayoi Kusama.
?Love is Calling,? which premiered in Japan in 2013, is the most immersive and kaleidoscopic of the artist?s Infinity Mirror Rooms. It is composed of a darkened, mirrored room illuminated by inflatable, tentacle-like forms?covered in the artist?s characteristic polka dots?that extend from the floor and ceiling, gradually changing colors. As visitors walk throughout the installation, a sound recording of Kusama reciting a love poem in Japanese plays continuously.
If attendees are up for it, the group can head out for a bite and drinks in the Seaport after the tour!

Visit Schedule:
6:15 PM: Arrival at the ICA to meet Joelle and our group at check-in
6:30 ? 7 PM: LOVE IS CALLING viewing
7 ? 8 PM: Guided tour with Joelle
For artwork safety, visitors are not permitted to carry anything with them into LOVE IS CALLING, including any bags, large coats, or other handheld items. An exception will be made for phones and cameras used for photography. Visitors will be asked to stow any items they are carrying in cubbies located outside the installation.
