About the distillery -
We are a micro-distillery in Simsbury, CT crafting American-style corn whiskies, bourbon and vodka. Opening for tours, tastings and sales Dec. 2019!

"I first learned to make spirits when I was a kid. My uncles, of Sicilian and Italian descent, made grappa, an unaged brandy made from grapes leftover after making wine. In my family, distilling was just another thing you did in the kitchen. For me, it became a fascination. ... I bought a small grappa still that was the exact kind that I learned on as a kid. Eventually, Charlie talked me into buying a small commercial still. He told me to leave it in my living room or somewhere I?d see it every day. I listened to him. Another great motivator!
Now, several years later Powdermen Spirits is realized. Charlie, RIP old Soldier, will always be one of the MEN in Powdermen, a business that is a testament to hard work and the liquor-loving people that have been important throughout my life."
