A unique and thrilling experience on the rolling hills and wooded trails of Vermont.
You and a friend can take a trip back in time with the Green Mountain Hounds to experience the ancient sport of fox hunting. GMH is a "drag" pack, so our hounds follow a scent laid by a human "fox." You'll join 20-30 other riders and 16 hounds for approximately two hours of "hunting" through the verdant hills and forests. You'll be quiet and patient watching the hounds hunt for scent. A shot of adrenaline will spike when the hounds strike and take off in full cry after their "quarry." We'll traverse miles of countryside before retiring the hounds for the day and enjoying a sumptuous, hot meal together afterward.
You need only be curious about the sport and the experience to bid on this offering. We can accommodate non-riding followers on foot or in cars. If you are interested in joining us on horseback we ask that you and your horse be comfortable riding cross country in a group.
