Description

Tour One of the Most Beautiful and Bio-Diverse Areas in the World in San Jose, Arenal and Manuel Antonio, Quepos in Costa Rica for Seven Days & Six nights for Two, Including Private Airport and Hotel Transfers (Land Only)

Costa Rica is a land of tropical adventures and ecological preserves, from its untouched and remote rainforest to its namesake rich coast. Stroll through the peaceful town of La Fortuna de San Carlos, where you can view the ominous Arenal, one of Costa Rica's most explosive volcanoes! This itinerary includes a trip to Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica's many important private protected areas that provide sanctuary for several endangered species - while walking, the park?s trails are likely to present various colorful and majestic birds, white-faced monkeys, two- and three-toed sloths, coatis, pacas, brilliantly colored land crabs, a variety of multi-hued butterflies, and interesting insects!

Begin your exploration of Costa Rica by landing in the capital city, San Jose, or Chepe as the locals call it! Aside from the surrounding beautiful mountains and volcanoes, the metropolitan business center of San Jose isn't much to look at upon first glance, but spend a little time here to see that the indigenous heritage and Caribbean culture prevail in music, food and language. Depart from San Jose to the town of La Fortuna de San Carlos, known as the gateway to the magnificent Arenal Volcano, which routinely bursts with lava and ash. La Fortuna de San Carlos connects the Arenal Volcano area with the cloud forests of Monteverde and Santa Elena and the northern lowlands of the country. Spend one day leisurely exploring the magnificent rural landscape, the enchanting rainforest, the view of the volcano from the town square and appreciating the simplicity and kindness of the people.

Continue on to the Pacific Coast to Manuel Antonio, Quepos, one of the most popular areas in the country, thanks to its charming combination of lush rainforest, expansive pristine beaches and exquisite coral reefs (a prime place to go snorkeling!). The forest is home for sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys and millions of colorful little crabs, and the trail that winds around Punta Catedral affords some spectacular views. You'll find a vast panorama of habitats, from the forest to the mangrove swamps, the lagoons to the beaches. The exotic wildlife includes 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds, and you may observe visiting dolphins or migrating whales on the 12 little isles just off the coast. While Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest in Costa Rica, the stunning beauty and diverse wildlife within its 683 hectares is unequaled, and was recently listed by Forbes among the world?s 12 most beautiful national parks. You'll have two whole days to delight in the beauty of the zone, before departing for San Jose to fly home.

? 3 nights accommodations at the Parador Resort & Spa
