Description
Jane Gage Furtado, a native South Carolinian, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens University in Charlotte and studied at the Institute of European Studies in Vienna, Austria.
A long-time resident of Charleston and Hilton Head Island, many of Jane's works reflect her fascination with the "Lowcountry." She has explored a variety of topics for her oils, including marshes, landscapes, and familiar South Carolina scenes.
More recently, she has focused on abstracts utilizing natural colors that reflect her perception of the world around her. Jane's art has been displayed in shows in Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head Island.
