Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco includes two amazing art museums. de Young's permanent collections?encompassing American art; art from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas; and costume and textile arts?reflect an active conversation among cultures, perspectives, and time periods. The Legion of Honor, an art museum with a collection that spans four millennia of history. This French neoclassical building, representing a great legacy of philanthropy and civic pride, stands proudly over the city, the Golden Gate, and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Four guest passes and youth, 18 and under, are always free. Sunday is family art-making.
The Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM) makes the diversity of the Jewish experience relevant for a twenty-first-century audience. We accomplish this through innovative exhibitions and programs that educate, challenge, and inspire. The Museum?s Daniel Libeskind-designed facility enables and inspires its mission. Dynamic and welcoming, it's a place to experience art, music, film, literature, debate, and?most importantly?people. Four (4) VIP general admission guests to either museum and youth, 17 and under are free.
