The Artist's Story:
"After raising my children and receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in 2013, I found myself looking for a way to deal with the emotions that challenged me as a mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend.
I am a self-taught abstract artist who enjoys working with acrylic and ink. The body of my work is textural, whether it?s smooth as glass with a resin finish or textured from layers of paint on canvas or cradled wood. I believe that colour plays an important role in how we connect with our emotions, moods and environment. My hope is that my art will help create a space that inspires you.
I am often asked about my process. The only answer I have is that it comes from somewhere within. Each of my paintings hold a little part of me which is why I receive great joy when a viewer connects with a piece.
I continue to be humbled by the support of my family, friends and colleagues as I continue my art journey."
