Bohemian Chic Chalet is a welcoming and joyful family vacation home. It's a romantic hideaway. It's a quiet writer's retreat. No wait, it's all three rolled into one! This dreamy 3 bedroom Bohemian chic cabin is nestled in a grove of pine trees on a secluded Tahoe Donner street. Minutes from town, skiing, or kayaking, but quiet like a mountain retreat. Each charming and cozy room was thoughtfully decorated with love and care to make your stay a happy and comfortable one. Come back from a day of skiing to style and homey comfort.
Enter the house into the sunny great room and cheerful open kitchen. Large high windows, towering wooden ceilings, and wood floors make the room feel open and airy. The walls in the great room, and throughout the house, are adorned with oversized black and white photographs taken by the artist owners. The furnishings are eclectic and whimsical, and create a sense of lightness and joy throughout the house.
The living room area is large, open, and welcoming, with cable TV, Smart TV, Netflix, Sonos and a basket of soft blankets for your use. Light a fire in the wood-burning stove in the winter or enjoy a glass of wine on the large deck or hammock in summer. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking enthusiasts and the dining area provides a rustic wooden table for everyone to gather around.
Just past the great room are two guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and antique school desk. The other a Scandinavian designed bunk bed, with a twin on top and full mattress on bottom. Both are charming, colorful and create a comforting environment. These rooms share an upgraded bathroom with heated floors.
The loft area is a cozy, peaceful place to read a book, play games or perhaps set up your computer at the laptop-ready desk and use the high speed wifi to catch up on that work you have been putting off. Next to the loft is the upstairs bedroom with a lovely view of the trees outside. It also has it's own updated bathroom with a heated towel rack.
The Bohemian Chic Chalet offers a little something for everyone and is the perfect place to call home for your stay in the mountains in summer, spring, fall, or winter.
LOCATION/AMENITIES
Our Tahoe Donner home is a great property to spend your summer as well as your winter vacations, Tahoe Donner Association gives you access to the clubhouse that has 2 swimming pools (a heated lap pool open year round and a big pool open in summer only), 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, a cardio and a weight room. There is also a golf course and tennis courts only a few minutes drive from the house as well as a private association beach on the east end of Donner Lake. Tahoe Donner has a ski resort as well that's available for your enjoyment, especially great if you have children. You won't even need to leave the area because of all the great activities offered including 2 restaurants, hiking and biking trails just as you walk out your front door, enjoy our private vacation home as much as we do.
Summer Activities Include: Golf, Horseback Riding, Hike and Mountain Bike Tours, Bocce Ball and Archery.
Winter Activities are: Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing, Tubing and sledding.
Each eligible property is issued two guest cards to access the recreation amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Guest cards only allow for up to 4 guests per card. Guest access fees apply per person per day and vary from activity to activity. Children 6 and under are free.
Whatever the season Tahoe Donner offers a verity of activities, either you like the beach in the summer, the pool, a nice hike or a day of skiing followed by a relaxing evening at Trout Creek Recreational Center, you'll fall in love with this area.
We recommend a 4WD or AWD when traveling to Tahoe in the winter, chains are a requirement.
