Bisordi Ranch

Owned and managed by Henry Bisordi, a veteran third-generation grape grower from the Russian River Valley, the small, dry-farmed vineyard from which we source this selection lays just to the west of the small town of Fulton. Thanks to Mr.Bisordi's impeccable farming practices, and another stellar year despite the drought, we are delighted to be able to present another vintage of this small, single-vineyard wine.

Winemaking
As one of our premium, vineyard-designated Chardonnays, we take special care with each step from vineyard to bottle. These grapes are handpicked then whole-cluster pressed with careful attention in separating the free run and lightly pressed juice from hard press to eliminate potential for bitterness. It is then sent to French oak barrels to undergo primary and malolactic fermentation, during which it is stirred bi-weekly to maximize mouthfeel and volume. This wine aged for 12 months on 40% new French oak, before we hand-selected the best barrels that make up the blend.

Tasting Notes
Decadent and complex, the Bisordi Ranch Chardonnay awash in zesty clementine and fresh honeycrisp apple, layered with an undercurrent of sweet grass and subtle acacia blossom. While bright acid and minerality lead on the front, the body is rich and creamy with a touch of lemon crème pie, vanilla and toasted hazelnut.
