3M Donates ?Signature Event with Chip Foose? to the Collision Repair Education Foundation?s Fundraiser to Support Military Veterans and Collision School Programs
To show support for the Collision Industry and advancing career opportunities, 3M donated a signature event with Chip Foose (as well as other Chip Foose memorabilia) to the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) combined efforts to raise funds for high school college collision programs as they start their new school semester.
For Foose Design fans and auto enthusiasts, CREF is auctioning off a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Chip Foose and tour Foose Design in Huntington Beach, CA. This opportunity includes roundtrip airfare, a tour of Foose Designs by Chip himself, and autographs. This signature prize was generously donated by 3M. Funds from the auction will help CREF support high school and college collision programs in need this school year with tools, equipment, and supplies. The online auction is live online now through October 4th, 2020.

Item Special Note
SIGNATURE EVENT WITH CHIP FOOSE
A one (1)-day / one (1)-night trip for winner (?Winner?) and Winner?s guest (?Guest?) to visit the Chip Foose garage in Huntington Beach, CA (the "Event?). Winner and Guest will enjoy: (1) a private tour of Foose Design and a ?meet-and-greet? with Chip himself; (2) two (2) round-trip coach class airfares from a major airport near Winner?s residence to John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA); and (3) one (1) night hotel accommodation (one room, double occupancy). Approximate duration of the tour and autographs with Chip Foose is two (2) hours.
ARV: $10,000. (Actual value will vary depending on Winner?s point of departure and airfare fluctuations. Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual value of the Event will not be provided.) If Winner resides within 250 miles of Huntington Beach, CA he/she will receive a $300 travel stipend in lieu of airfare. All travel-related expenses not set forth herein, including but not limited to travel insurance, meals, luggage fees, gratuities and incidental hotel and personal expenses, are the sole responsibility of Winner.
Conditions of Purchase:
3M will coordinate with Winner and Chip Foose to select Event date. 3M will make all travel arrangements. Event must occur prior to March 31, 2021. Notwithstanding the foregoing, 3M reserves the right to postpone and reschedule the Event if travel is restricted by applicable national or state regulations, not advised by applicable national or state health officials or other regulatory bodies, or otherwise restricted by 3M policy. In the event that the Event does not occur by December 31, 2021, 3M may, at 3M?s option, postpone and reschedule the Event or reimburse the Winner for the Approximate Retail Value stated above.
Winner and Guest must travel on the same itinerary, and all travel arrangements must be made with 3M or 3M?s agent. Travel arrangements are subject to availability; seats may not be available on all flights and 3M reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the dates for any travel. Schedules are subject to change without notice. No cancellation of reservation or transfer of reservations to another date by Winner will be permitted after the reservations have been made. Winner and Guest must possess required travel documents (e.g., valid photo I.D.) prior to departure. It is the responsibility of Winner and his/her Guest to arrive at the airport in time for each flight of the applicable trip.
Winner and Guest must follow any/all safety protocols reasonably required by Chip Foose. This may include, but is not limited to: (1) physical distancing and personal hygiene; (2) PPE (such as a face mask); and (3) a questionnaire for Winner and Guest that includes self-identification of being in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 infection or being sick within the last 14 days.
Event cannot be sold or traded on auction websites, is not transferable and at no time may be purchased, sold, bartered or otherwise exchanged for the value except at 3M?s discretion.
By purchasing this Event, Winner and his/her Guest are deemed: (a) to release, discharge and hold harmless 3M and Chip Foose from any and all injuries, exposure, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including illness and/or death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from Winner and his/her Guest?s participation in the Event and any Event-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Event (including any travel/activity related thereto); and (b) to permit the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph/video, image and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by 3M and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from Winner, his/her Guest or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.
Winner and Guest may also be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release, within five (5) days of date of issuance.
