Description

You and up to three others will join Darcie Mahoney and Warren Cardimona of Conservation Works on an informative guided mushroom & plant walk of at least 1.5 hours (walk is considered easy to moderate on the strenuous scale) through a Mendocino County forest -- bring your camera as these fungi may be photographed but not picked. Learn about the important roles mushrooms play in forest ecology, and their diversity. Sturdy footwear, masks and social distancing will be required. Certificate expires October 24, 2021.

[Mahoney and Cardimona are leading Conservation Works' innovative Turkey
Tail project where we are studying different mushrooms as an alternative to
herbicide use for brush control.]

Item Special Note

The walk will be scheduled in consultation with Mahoney, Cardimona and the winning bidder for a mutally convenient time.
