Artist Statement:

The creative process of painting brings me a sense of calm, similar to the visual of a low tide lapping at the sand. Even though my own struggles with anxiety may be forming waves beyond the tide, putting paint to paper helps to settle the storms. I love to make beautiful art. I love to make emotional art. I love to create pieces to help myself and others heal. Painting, for me, has been a beautiful saving grace, as well as a very effective therapeutic avenue for my own mental well-being.
