A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, John has performed piano at the Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. His Jaz Katz Quintet and his Trio has performed for the Berkeley Repertoire Theater, the Bohemian Club in San Francisco, the Piedmont Community Church, the Piedmont Tri School annual fundraiser, the Rossmoor Event Center, The Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, numerous weddings, as well as corporate events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Daily, he delights clients in his store by providing wonderful music to enhance their shopping experience.
John?s compositions and chief influences draw not only from his rich classical background, but from his exposure to diverse music growing up in San Francisco with 50?s and 60?s cool jazz. He draws inspiration from Carol King, The Beatles, Cal Tjader, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Brad Mahldau, Alan Pasqua? just to name a few!
Harper Greer is a fictional fashion designer created by Terry Kiskaddon in 1978. She was searching for a name for her new company because she needed to have a label to put in the all the chic styles she was designing. So she went to the library and checked out a baby name book! She was really fascinated with art deco at the time and choose a couple of names that evoked that era.
Ta da! Harper Greer was born.
