ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dorothy Burr Durrenberger earned a degree in Anthropology and studied cultures in Thailand and Iceland. She co-authored a book on medieval Icelandic literature. She lived in State College for the last sixteen years of her life. She was involved in many activities that she loved including Tai Chi teaching, shape singing, ukulele playing, jewelry making, stage acting, and many aspects of art including sculpture, painting and printmaking. She was a well-known and loved member of the Art Alliance, winning several juried shows and participating in local and regional exhibits. Dorothy was a long-time friend of ClearWater.
