Description

Since retiring, I've been able to travel down the road not taken in 1971 when I went to grad school: being a free form FM rock DJ. I became the permanent substitute DJ at WRDV-FM, a community radio station in Hatboro. Regular DJs there have shows featuring a wide variety of music (not just free form FM rock), and when I fill in, I do my best to play the kind of music each of them would. As a result, I have amassed an excellent collection of jazz, blues, and country music from the 20s-40s; rock, folk, and R&B from the 40s-80s; and versions of the "great American songbook" from the 20s through the 00s. What I am offering is 3 hours of carefully selected and sequenced music delivered in 3 separate, hour long MP3 files. I'll consult with you beforehand via e-mail or phone to determine what style or styles you'd like to have; favorites you'd like me to include; and, if you want, the type of occasion where you'd play the music. (For instance, I've been known to make effective retro dance party tapes. The word "tapes" should tell you how retro they are.) I can guarantee a good selection from the genres listed above, and we can discuss anything else you'd like to have. Disclaimer: I have a decent collection of Klezmer music to throw into a party "tape", but I'd have a hard time generating three hours of religious music.
