The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
Considered one of Canada's great railway hotels. Opened in 1939, the hotel has been host to Queen Elizabeth and her father King George VI. Restored in the 1990's, the hotel features a décor and an ambiance that is both elegant, yet relaxed. Located in the heart of the city, Vancouver's eclectic shopping area, Robson Street, is just a block away. The on-site recreation center has a glass-enclosed lap pool, kiddie pool, saunas, whirlpool and sun terraces, and guests may also use a complimentary membership to a nearby athletic club for squash courts and aerobics.
