Description
Let the Covert Cocktail Club (CCC) bring its Have Shaker, Will Travel personalized Cocktail Omakase experience to you in your home! The winner of the auction would have a Cocktail Consultation with me (Matt Levy - TNS Parent and owner of the CCC) via email in which I learn about the spirits, flavors and drinking sensations that you (and your guests) enjoy. I would then come up with a list of 6-7 cocktails and you would pick 3-4 of them.
I would then arrive at your home (or your office, or your hotel room, wherever you're hosting!) with everything: spirits, mixers, garnishes, tools, glassware (unless they have a collection already, glassware is the most difficult to transport,) handcut ice, and set up for the experience in your home.
You would be responsible for providing fresh citrus, bagged ice for shaking and stirring and snacks. (I'll give you a number of what I would need per item.)
Then the omakase would start. It would be a tasting flight in which everyone gets the same drink at the same time and I talk about the ingredients, balance and history of the cocktail. The drinks would follow a progressive structure and start light and airy and get more involved and complex. At the end of the tasting is what I call a "parting shot," - I would bring a selection of esoteric and strange digestifs, amari and liqueurs from my home bar and engage everyone in a "Choose your Own Adventure" type of experience, describing all the liqueurs and letting everyone have a "sniff test" before each individual can pick their own parting shot.
The whole experience lasts 3 or so hours with a maximum of 6 people for this auction item.
