Spend a week at charming Cedar Branch Hollow Cabin. Nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountain ranges, this property boasts wonderful views of surrounding hills and farms. Take advantage of walks on 120 acres on both sides of a creek spanned by a picturesque arched bridge. Bring your camera to capture views of deer, wildlife, hayfields, and woodlands. Enjoy berry picking in summer, sledding in winter, use of exercise stations while running or hiking, watching fireflies while sitting in a hot tub, or swimming or rafting at nearby Maury River. Sunrises are spectacular. This vacation will be your city kid's dream come true! The cabin has three levels - two bedrooms, a sunroom and patios on the lower level; twin beds in a loft on the third level. A bookshelf contains an assortment of games, books and puzzles; The living room, kitchen, dining room and bath are located on the main floor with access to a wrap around porch and a deck. It sleeps 6 but inflatable mattresses are available, if needed, for additional guests. You are welcome to exchange one of your paperbacks for one of ours if you wish to take a book home to finish reading. Cedar Branch Hollow Cabin is located about eight miles from Lexington, VA, one of "The Best 20 Small Towns to Visit" according to Smithsonian Magazine. Home to Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute, the town has delightful shops and galleries for every taste. Stop in at the Visitor's Center to see the area's myriad offerings - horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, hiking trails, historical sites like Cyrus McCormick Farm, the Virginia Horse Center, Hull's Drive-in Movie Theater, Boxerwood Garden, wine tastings, carriage rides, ghost tours, museums, Natural Bridge, speedway, caverns, drive-through safari and zoo, Lime Kiln Theater, flyfishing, hunting, sporting clays, geocaching, llama trekking and, of course, wonderful restaurants.

Restrictions: Primary renter must be over the age of 24 and there is a limit of six people unless preapproved by owner.

Availability: A weeks stay will be from Friday to the following Friday. The cabin is used for short-term rentals, so usage is dependent on availability at the time you request your week. Renter must pay a deposit of $250 for a non-refundable $50 cleaning fee and a refundable damage deposit of $200. The damage deposit will be returned within 10 days of the renters departure assuming no damage or losses. Damages over $200 would be the renters responsibility.
 
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 30 days or greater before the rental period - Deposit is refunded in full. Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior to the rental period - Half the deposit will be refunded within ten days. Cancellations within 15 days of the rental period - Half the deposit will be refunded if the cabin is re-booked by another party. The full deposit is forfeited in the event of a no-show.
