Ever want to ride your bicycle through downtown Los Angeles at night, but didn't feel like doing it alone? Join Matt Allio and other night riders for a bicycle ride through downtown Los Angeles and other busy and desolate parts of the city on June 9. The ride will start at 8:00 pm and will leave from Matt's loft in South Pasadena. After a fairly tame ride down Figureroa Street, cross the bridge at the Los Angeles River, and through Chinatown, the group will tour downtown Los Angeles, the Toy District, perhaps across another of the Los Angeles River bridges, and back to Matt's loft. The ride will last around 90 minutes with a reasonable pace good for viewing street scenes.
Following the ride, the group will re-energize with food and beverages back at Matt's place. He wouldn't call it a meal, but no doubt the food will be plentiful and varied and the drinks overflowing. The riders can elaborate on bike riding exploits and swap bike stories.
While the ride is recreational in pace, some recent experience on a bicycle is helpful.
Bicycle lights and helmets are required for the ride. Riders must be over 18 years old.
Winning bidder must pick up items on May 9 or May 10, 2012, from 3:00 pm - 6:00pm from the Community Room at Walden School. Otherwise, shipping charges will be charged to the purchaser.
