Artist's Statement:
"The first thing I thought about after the tragic loss for all the familes affected by this fire was that they would be rebuilding their lives. Hope and faith is important in this endeavor and I couldn't help thinking of a Phoenix as the obvious symbol of rebuilding, a rebirth from the ashes. The Phoenix is carrying a pinecone, a seed representing a new start. My drawing is made from the simple black of the burnt embers and white of the paper, emphasizing the clear message of hope and courage we wish for all these families."
Please note: A $15 fee will be added to the winning bid price for shipping and handling.
