Item Description
An opportunity for TWO PEOPLE to assist an Idaho Department of Fish and Game biologist in fish planting at Fish Pole Lake. This lake is accessible by non-motorized trail. Winning bidders will use horses and a mule to ride and pack and release fish.
Last year's winning bidders thoroughly enjoyed their horseback trip especially assisting a biologist with the release of over a thousand young trout into a lake. They "hated to see the trip end."
Fish Pole Lake is located in Idaho's beautiful Pioneer Mountain Range a top the Big Lost River Valley.
Winning bidders will deliver the fish with horses and mules and release fish in lake. The high mountain lake scenery is one-of-a-kind so bring your camera.
Trip includes ONE OVERNIGHT STAY in a rustic cabin. Dinner is included. Bidders will need layered clothing, and appropriate clothing for riding horses in the mountains - pants, boots, hat and gloves. Also bring rain gear, sleeping bags, snacks, water and food for lunch and breakfast. Bidder does not need to be experienced horsewoman/man; however the terrain is steep and rugged, must be capable of getting on and off the horse and able to walk off mountain if necessary.
TRIP TAKES PLACE IN JULY or AUGUST 2010. Bidder must provide transportation to Mackey, Idaho.
