Item Description

TWO WINNING BIDDERS will experience a rare opportunity to participate with Idaho Department of Fish and Game fish biologists in a commercial lake trout netting technique demonstration employed for decades on Lake Michigan. This method is now being used to suppress the lake trout population in north Idaho's Lake Pend Oreille.

The trip is for someone interested in "hands on" fisheries management and commercial methods. You will see hundreds of fish, pick gillnets and handle fish.

TRIP TAKES PLACE MARCH through MAY or SEPTEMBER through NOVEMBER 2010.

The boat will leave Hope, Idaho around 8 am and return around 2 pm. Light lunch included. Winning bidder provides own transportation to Coeur d'Alene.

Item Special Note

Winning bidders must have moderately good balance in order to move around on boat. Bring raingear and appropriate field clothing.

Winning bidders will be contacted by Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation staff. Date is non-negotiable.

PLEASE NOTE: An additional charge of 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to the winning bid price of each item. A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price for all land-based trips. For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law. All sales are final.
