Item Description
Calling all anglers! This ONE-DAY trip offers the opportunity to learn about surveying Boise River's trout.
TWO PHYSICALLY-FIT PERSONS have the unique opportunity to leave your gym workout and experience a challenging and rigorous day assisting Idaho Department of Fish and Game fish biologists. You will join in a mark-recapture electrofishing survey of wild trout, in a canoe, in the lower Boise River near downtown Boise, Idaho.
Fish and Game needs able-bodied netters to wade the river, collect fish, and help count, measure and mark the fish. Expect to see some large wild rainbows and brown trout, and lots of medium sized trout and whitefish. Lunch will be provided.
Winning bidder needs to provide own transportation to Boise, Idaho. You will need to bring neoprene chest waders, good wading boots, and warm clothing.
TRIP takes place MID-OCTOBER to MID-NOVEMBER 2010.
Item Special Note
Winning bidders must be in strong physical shape for this demanding, challenging survey experience. Trip date is non-negotiable.
Winning bidders will be notified by Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation office staff.
PLEASE NOTE: An additional charge of 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to the winning bid price of each item. A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price for all land-based trips. For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law. All sales are final.
