DINING, CA- Dinner for 12 at Olio e Limone Ristorante in the Cucina Room, a private dining room, with special guest, the notorious Jim Clendenen, pouring some of his favorite Italian-style wines from Au Bon Climat to complement Alberto's cuisine. Alberto and Elaine Morello opened Olio e Limone in 1999 with a goal of presenting to Santa Barbara diners, creative and authentic Italian cuisine, relying on the integrity of the ingredients and the quality of the preparation served in an inviting atmosphere. Alberto is the chef, noted for his out-of-this-world creations. Born and raised in Sicily and returning annually to his home there, Alberto's Sicilian dishes are especially impressive. His wife, Elaine is general manager of the restaurant. The extensive wine list, reflecting Morello's passion for wine, has garnered the prestigious Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2002. Rated 26 out of 30 by Zagat, it is noted for sumptuous main courses and truly satisfying desserts.
