Just a mere 7 and a half acres of rocky hillside ranging from 600 to 800 feet in elevation, on the eastern hillside of St. Helena just below Howell Mountain produce the extremely limited Herb Lamb Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.  

The selection of grapes for the ultra-premium HL Cabernet Sauvignon comes from only certain sections and rows and by virtue of the small tonnage from this hillside vineyard, only 200 cases are produced each year. Even more limited are the large  formats produced, which are only released for local charitable causes. The Herb Lamb wines are true ambassadors of the soil, climate and location, the grapes from this site delivering benchmark quality wines year after year. The lucky winner of this lot and five guests are also entitled to a personal tour/tasting at the Lamb's idyllic hillside location. 

The 2009 vintage in the Napa Valley was a vintage of perfection, and the wine is a true reflection of this ideal growing season - it is beautifully textured and perfectly structured, fruity and balanced, and seamless from start to finish. 

Jennifer and Herb Lamb never started out to be grapegrowers and winemakers—but the pieces fell into place and today, the fruits of their labors are world class.  In Jennifer’s words, she is thrilled to share their passion and product of the land with us in this lovely donation.
