Women have always been an integral part of the California wine industry. Traditionally, they inherited their positions from husbands or fathers. However, beginning in the 1960s, women started to own wineries and to assume management positions based on their own qualifications, often independent of family heritage. But even more importantly, they began to become prominent winemakers.

In this lot we pay tribute to some of the premier female winemakers of the Napa Valley.

A collection of Awesome wines, made by Awesome women, in support of the Calistoga Family Center and the St. Helena Family Center, your collection will include:

• One 1.5 L 1999 La Sirena SanGiovese Napa Valley (winemaker, Heidi Peterson Barrett)

Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable in the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to
buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the fair market value of each lot.
