Item Description

Twelve 750s 2008 La Blonde
Chardonnay – The Case for Charity

La Blonde Chardonnay is an extremely limited production Chardonnay made at Outpost Winery under the direction of award-winning winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown.  His tasting notes describe the wine with terms like “…lime blossoms, Meyer lemon, wet stones, lightly toasted hazelnuts and a hint of white chocolate at the end.  There is more persistence to the finish of this wine than any other wine we've ever made.”

Now, with Spring upon us and summer just around the corner, doesn’t that sound like the perfect wine?

An extraordinary partnership is at work here: Kathy Dotzler of Outpost Winery created La Blonde, in memory of her mother, to benefit others struggling with cancer.  She brilliantly found a partner in the Ceres Project, a community based project that brings teens into the kitchen to prepare thousands of delicious and organic meals for individuals and families facing cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Sales of La Blonde go directly to the Ceres Project to fund their work.

The Case for Charity:  The families receive nourishing meals and the support of the community, the teens learn culinary skills and teamwork, and now you can have the wine that supports the Ceres Project.  The Dotzlers have generously donated a case of 2008 La Blonde Chardonnay to support the Napa Valley 360 auction.

Did we say limited production?  Only one barrel of this wine is produced, or 25 cases—now, here is your chance to get one of those cases (twelve 750s) and support multiple beneficiaries in the community!  Everybody wins!
