Each year, UMPS CARE Charities visits children's hospitals around the country, assisted by the local team's mascot and bearing a full Build-A-Bear® Workshop. The goal? Smiles, laughs, and time for the kids to forget their illnesses.
It's a magical, wonderful day, and you can be part of it. The Phillie Phanatic is a crowd-pleaser everywhere he goes, and this is no exception. The winning bidder will visit the Philadelphia children's hospital with a set of umpires plus the Phanatic, and be by his side as he cheers up the young patients. You'll get the rare opportunity to see just where the money you bid goes, and you'll see the pure joy on the faces of the children as they delight in their favorite team's furry friend and get a new friend of their own in a Build-A-Bear.
Included with the package is a pair of tickets to that night's Philadelphia Phillies game, where you can watch the Phanatic shake his bootie for a lively and appreciative crowd. Only you will know that his "matinee" appearance was even more impressive, more appreciated, and certainly more important ... and that you helped.
Item Special Note
Conditions of Sale
- Please note, only the winning bidder (total 1 person) is permitted to attend the hospital event. No exceptions.
- Winning bidder must be 21+ years of age and in good health at the time of the event.
- For scheduling considerations, the winning bidder should live within a one-hour drive of Citizens Bank Park. There are times when a scheduled event must be postponed on short notice, e.g., rainout the night before causing changes to the scheduled start the following day.
- Due to the unique nature of each item, all sales are final.
- Hospital event will take place on the date scheduled by UMPS CARE Charities. Will take place on a weekday between April-September.
- Exeperience does not include travel and hotel expenses; those are the responsibility of the winner.
