Item Description
Enjoy the autumn color of New England while staying 4 days and 3 nights in "The Lodge"; a 4 bedroom, 3 and a half bathroom house on a 20 acre lakeside property in Ridgefield, CT, about one hour outside of New York City by car or train. The house is available from Sept. 12 to Dec. 2, except Oct. 24 - 28 (The colors are usually most brilliant in October).
Ridgefield dates back to the pre-Revolutionary War period and enjoys the reputation of having one of the most beautiful Main Streets in Connecticut. At the turn of the century the town was a favorite location for many wealthy New Yorkers to build their summer mansions, several of which remain. The town has been and still is home to famous writers, artists, musicians and actors. Ridgefield offers a wealth of cultural experiences with a Playhouse with nightly live entertainment, art and historic museums, a symphony and many wonderful restaurants, a few offering musical performances.
With respect to the owner, please no smoking in the home.
