Item Description
Here's a musical objet d'art we guarentee you won't find anywhere else. "The Flying Dutchman," painted by Megan Kramer and Guy Wagner, is a 'totally nautical' artwork! Depicted on the body is a ship with mast, along with plenty of underwater treasures for your eye to discover. It's case is included in the auction.
A ghost captain is condemned to roam the seas forever and every seven years the waves cast him onto the shore, and if he can find the love of a faithful woman, he will be redeemed. Isn't that always the case. Composer Richard Wagner imortalized the legend with his opera, Der fliegende Holländer (The Flying Dutchman) which premiered in Dresden in 1843.
