Item Description

This high quality singing bowl has been chosen for the harmony and complexity of its tone structure.

The bowl itself was handmade in the Himalayas at a time before the arrival of modern Western influence. The ringing stick comes from Nepal and has leather on one side and wood on the other. Playing with the leather will bring out the low tones in this bowl and wood the higher tones. The winning bidder will receive a bowl guaranteed to play well with both leather and wood, something not so common in this size. The actual bowl will be similar but not identical to the one in the picture.

Best Singing Bowl's owner Ryan has been ringing, collecting and selling singing bowls for 30 years. All the bowls he sells are hand selected from thousands for their sonic clarity. Best Singing Bowls has a spectacular selection of antique bowls in all price ranges. It also has the largest range of mallets and ringing sticks.

The Best Singing Bowls website is designed to be a resource about singing bowls, their uses and the culture from which they arose. From descriptions of singing bowl types to photos of Tibetan Lamas at the turn of the last century to informative videos the site ranges around the many topics connected to these magical objects. It also has a few quirky bits you’d never expect from a singing bowl site.

Ryan believes that singing bowls, especially old bowls with internal harmony, can have a profound effect on your state of mind, mental clarity and cognitive abilities. An antique singing bowl is a gift that can last for a lifetime.
