The New Yorker-owned apartment is a newly-renovated one-bedroom beauty in a friendly 100-year-old building which has a lovely shared roof terrace. The apartment has high-speed Internet, a fully-equipped kitchen, towels and linens, and a washing machine.
You will be met by the English-speaking manager who lives nearby.
The apartment is located in Beyoglu, just a few blocks from Istiklal Caddesi, the heart of Istanbul's lively nightlife, diverse restaurants, chic hotels, eclectic shops and a the city's major transportation hub.
Our historic neighborhood of Cukurcuma is full of cafes and tea houses, and is famous for antique shops, art galleries, international expats and bohemian Turks. It's walking distance to the Istanbul Modern Art Museum on the Bosphorus, and a short tram ride to major sites like Haghia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. We also offer our tenants lots of information on some of our favorite Istanbul places.
The apartment can sleep two in the bedroom on a queen size bed, and two in the private living room on a comfortable pull-out couch.
The item is for seven nights, checking in at 4pm and out at 11am.
Owner, Therese Shechter has spent the last 12 years using humor-spiked, personal narrative to chronicle 21st Century feminism through such documentaries as "How to Lose Your Virginity", "I Was A Teenage Feminist" and "How I Learned to Speak Turkish". She writes about virginity, female sexuality and feminism for the film's companion blog, the Chicago Tribune, Bitch Magazine blog, Adios Barbie and Film Independent. Therese has screened her films and spoken on panels all over the world, and has done live performances at Galapagos Art Space, Bad Feminist Readings, Abiola's Kiss and Tell and In The Flesh. She doesn't spend nearly enough time at her place in Istanbul.
