A "BE OUTSIDE" trip for TWO ADULTS with TWO CHILDREN (5 years +). Join Idaho Department of Fish and Game Wildlife Educator and Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation staff member and volunteer on a fun family camp out.

Perfect for first-time family campers, this trip is geared to teaching your family how to camp. You'll learn how to select a site, set up your tent, start a campfire and fun family activities that don't involve a plug in or computer!

Magic Valley Foundation Board Member and owner of Buhl, Idaho's, THE AVID SPORTSMAN (next to the Arctic Circle) , generously donated a 4-person tent, propane lantern, 8-piece cook set, four insulated beverage mugs and four eco-friendly stainless steel sports bottles. Winning bidders will need to provide sleeping bags and pads. 

Your trip will start by meeting your "camp hosts" on a Saturday morning at a campsite near Boise, Idaho. Trip available JUNE 10 through JULY 30, 2010 (holidays excluded). Trip includes one breakfast, two lunches and one dinner.

Activities (weather permitting) include: stream hiking, water play in and around water; wildlife walk and critter watching; campfire building and safety; campfire cooking and meal prep; star gazing; campfire songs and stories. (Activities will be planned in conjunction with family according to age level and outdoor experience and comfort level.)

Winners will need to provide sleeping bags and your own transportation to selected campsite.

Winning bidders will be contacted by Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation office staff. Trip is geared to help you get started camping and share ideas for camping with kids. Learn to laugh at mosquitoes, scowl at bees, watch bats fly at night, stomp in the water, turn over rocks, and smell the summer air. No special skills required or needed other than a sense of humor! Trip dates are non-negotiable.

PLEASE NOTE: An additional charge of 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to the winning bid price of each item. A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price for all land-based trips. For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law. All sales are final.
