Item Description

"Divers Life"

"Diver's Life"Tavern sign is a 16"X 12" X 2" is a resin cast replica of an original bas relief sculpture created and donated to OFS by Internationally known artist Nancy Blauers. This is a very limited edition replica and is meticulously painted in acrylic paints, then clearcoated with a high gloss varnish.

About Nancy Blauers:
A native of the Connecticut shore, Nancy has a long time love for the Maritime coast. She grew up sailing on Long Island Sound, the wind, the waves and her facination for wildlife serve as inspiration for her art. Her parents were greatly supportive of her artistic skills, which were discovered at a young age, and she began her formal training at the age of ten with one of the top modern masters in oil portraiture, Frank Covino.

Throughout her career, nancy's work has been displayed at numerous esteemed wildlife shows and galleries including the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum of Wasau, Wisconsin, several shows with The Society of Animal Artists, and her work has been displayed at the Orlando Museum of Art. She is also the Senior Artist with Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Merchandising, where she greatly enjoys creating designs depicting "the Margaritaville lifestyle."  The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission selected Nancy's design for the new Save the Manatee state license plate.

Each bas relief scultpure is a one of a kind, original work of museum quality art. Many hours go into the design and composition of each piece, orchestrating a beautiful symphony of color and light, and accurately recreating the incredible beauty of seldom seen worlds beneath our ocean's waves.
